Jerusalem walls

Jerusalem walls

Christians praying for a debt free life should know that they would have to face various hurdles along the way if they want to have a life that is honest and carefree. The simple formula to follow for a debt free life is to spend less than what you earn. You will also have to make a provision for your future by saving some money. However, with faith and hard work all your prayers shall be answered.

Helpful Tips for Christians Praying for Debt Free Life

Work Hard and Pray- According to the Old Testament, Nehemiah had worked hard and also prayed hard when he had the difficult task of rebuilding the Jerusalem walls. This is the model that you should follow. Pray to the Lord when you face a difficult battle and work as hard as you can. Your prayers will certainly be answered.
Take Care of Immediate Financial Problems- Christians praying for debt free life will first have to take care of the immediate financial problems that they are facing. What this means is that you should first make a budget and then follow it. You can get several great budget software today online for the same purpose that can be very helpful.
Cut Back- You will also have to reexamine all the financial anchors in your lifestyle. Think about some of the expensive items in your budget like your insurance premiums, your tech savvy toys and auto loans. Think about which of these you could trade in or sell off.
Stay Away from Scams- Along the way there will be several tempting offers that promise you to get out of your debt or help you generate massive incomes overnight. Stay away from these scams since you would simply be losing your time and money over them.
Generate Additional Income- For becoming debt free you will also have to think about generating additional income in an honest way. You can work from home in your free time or use the internet to start your own online business.

These were the few tips that will help you get out of your debt and live a life that will be far from debt. You should know that planning your finances is not really a task that will be very easy for you. Quite a lot of Christians give up on their budgeting as soon as the first temptation strikes. Remember what the Lord says and stay away from temptation if you really want to have a comfortable life without any debts. As long as Christians praying for debt free life stick to their budget, work hard and honestly it is possible for their answers to be prayed.

According to scripture

According to scripture

Christian prayer works, so what should Christians be turning their devotional time to in 2012? The world is as unsettled, as much in the grip of demonic forces, as it has ever been, but if we focus our thoughts and prayers and back up prayer with action, Christians can make a difference.

Christian values

Nothing has contributed more to the civilized world we know today than Christian values. Jesus´ Sermon on the Mount is still quoted as the single most important statement of social responsibility and political parties of every hue can unite around it. Growing trends towards agnosticism and atheism threaten the undermining of these values in the future. Pray for Christian values to visit the hearts of even the most hardened atheist.

The Family

Yes, divorce rates are increasing, but the real threats to family values are the drop in church attendance and relaxed social attitudes towards promiscuity. There is a fine line between social freedom and excessive permissiveness. Pray for our populations to help them stay on the right side of that line. The family should be a stable social unit which provides security and comfort to its members. The concept of dysfunction is spreading. The main causes are lack of faith, alcohol and drug abuse, sexual freedom. Pray for self-control.

Alienated youth

Linked to the problem of broken families is the idea that many youngsters feel alienated in today´s society. They have all the benefits of modern technology yet often lack direction, opportunity and motivation. According to scripture, discipline must be allied to faith and love for effective upbringing. Pray for our children.

The Economic Crisis

We have grown accustomed to improving economic conditions every year. This will now change. Our economies are facing a period of decline. Pray for those who find themselves on the wrong side of harsh economic policy.

Good government

In view of the crisis we need good government more than ever. Good government means government that cares as well as directs. Let us pray for responsible management of our states and for the continued support of those least well off in society.

Good Health

Despite modern medical advances, the state of our health generally is constantly at risk. Increasingly our young people are in danger from alcohol and sexually transmitted diseases. As we approach middle age we run the risk of heart and blood disorders caused by poor diet and stress. These are lifestyle problems caused by weak faith. In addition there are doubts as to the safety of new technology such as microwave devices and mobile phones. Pray for a healthy lifestyle.

Wealth with Social responsibility

Let us pray for the generosity of those who have more money than they need. We live in an age when a young footballer can earn a million pounds a month, while young children die of simple treatable diseases in other parts of the world. Pray for fairness, more giving, and the consciences of those who can do more to help.

Peace

Despite living through a time of relative peace, there are still many ongoing military conflicts around the world, giving rise to many thousands of fatalities annually. Pray for those who suffer in Afghanistan, in Somalia, in Central and South America, in Arab revolutions, in drug wars, and all the other areas of conflict.

Faith with enlightenment

Finally, pray for spiritual strength, which comes not from religious bigotry but from Jesus-led understanding and enlightenment. Preach the spirit of fairness and tolerance and love, and have a happy 2012.

Time prayer

You might wonder what the benefits are to journaling and using scripture during your prayer time. Maybe you have tried it but didn't continue due to lack of time or motivation. Maybe you didn't know where to start so you haven't tried journaling yet. Maybe you think you are not a writer and feel discouraged to put words down on paper.

I want to encourage you by saying let's not look at the past but look at the present moment and one motivating reason that you might want to relook at journaling during your prayer time.

Prayer time is a source of renewal so that you can draw on wisdom from scripture and insights from God. By taking the time to pray you will be able to achieve clarity, balance and healing. By using journaling tools that incorporate both your creativity and logic, your prayer time will have a stronger positive ripple effect on yourself and the people that you encounter from day to day.

#1 Reason to Journal

Journaling creates a stronger relationship with your creator, creating a stronger you.

Journaling with scripture is like spending time with a best friend, reading intimate letters and discovering new things about you and your friend. Some books in the Bible are considered the love letters to you. Other books are like memoirs that share history. All the books together bring you different aspects of God your Creator, Jesus, and your advocate the Holy Spirit. It makes sense to say the more time you spend with scripture the stronger relationship you will have with God. Your relationship goes deeper and deeper. You understand new things and gain new perspective. It is not only about knowing God, it is also about you revealing yourself to God. It's about you being authentic, real, and vulnerable. You can take off the layers that hide your true self and start to shine. Your confidence builds because you know God is forgiving and loving. By having God reflect back to you, you will learn new and exciting things about yourself that you have not thought about before. You will discover that your self-confidence will increase, which will pave the way to you contributing positively in society. You will consciously choose activities that are more life-giving to you, which will benefit the groups or people that you are spending your time with.

"To be strengthened in your Inner self and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge" Ephesians 3:16-21

By spending time and building your relationship with God you will be developing the fruits of the Holy Spirit. You will become confident and loving and carry the spirit of hope in all your words and actions. Your inner self will be strengthened and grounded in a way that surpasses knowledge. By writing and drawing stories from the bible you will discover that your prayer time will positively influence your day to day words, actions and decisions.
